Contra Costa Times reported last night that Michael Hutchings had announced his intentions to go to USC. In announcing his choice, the Times reported that Hutchings said that "they've continually proven they're an elite school."
Then early this morning, Bryan Fischer of CBS Sports confirmed this, as Hutchings further added, ""I made my mind up a couple of weeks ago, but just last week I went back down and it re-affirmed everything."
This morning, Rivals' Greg Ladky tweeted that if and when Michael Hutchings commits to USC, that USC would jump from #10 to #5 in the current 2013 recruiting class, beating out Georgia with 19 verbal commits and LSU with 17. That's impressive, but what's truly impressive is the total quality of the class, where the lowest ranked verbal recruit in the class, is Sebastian Larue at #162.
