Spikes + Pigeons = Eww.

You've surely seen those spike strips on buildings, bridges, light fixtures and other objects that are meant to keep the birds - particularly pigeons - off.  I am here to tell you, not all birds will heed the spikes and stay away.  In fact, some will accidentally impale themselves.  Then you're stuck with dead birds hanging from objects.  Eww.
