This Sunday's news reported that Afghan President Hamid Karzai accused the US of collaborating with the Taliban to foment violence. I am sure the media in Afghanistan doesn't have the independent lens of a global view, but even this latest assertion by Karzai must have left some of them concerned or amused.
To me, it's a clear case (in relevance to the popular idiom) of dog bites hand that feeds it. We should pull out of Afghanistan completely, by the end of this Summer. We got what we wanted, and they've had over a decade to transition towards complete independence; it's time to take the training wheels off and let them ride it out on their own.
Make Karzai bite his own hands, instead.
