The Geography of Hate.

Fascinating stuff, via The Verge: A group of students and professors have culled tweets for specific words in tweets, and have built this map called, The Geography of Hate.  If you click on the different terms of hate, the map changes to reflect the scale of hateful tweets.

It turns out, Hood River's got a hotbed of homophobic Twits (or Tweeters if you prefer).

In the wider view of the entire nation, I can't imagine a cleaner picture of the difference between the West and the Midwest/South, can you?
