Psst: Oregon Healthcare exchange has a webpage.

Cover Oregon, Oregon's healthcare exchange isn't going to open up for consumers until October of this year (2013), but they've already turned on their website. The website allows you to collect some basic information on how much you could pay, based on your income and the size of your household, as well as information for businesses to calculate whether they qualify for subsidies and how much they could expect to pay.

The numbers are very attractive, compared to normal group rates let alone individual rates.  Note however, that the numbers cited are for the Silver level of plans, whereas there should be four levels available: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

At these rates, I can imagine that many small businesses will want to switch from their current group rates over to these subsidized prices.  It's really a stimulus plan for small and medium-sized businesses whose pay scales are at median or lower.
