Playing with Google Music.

I just got it installed a few hours ago - before I napped off and allowed it to upload some of my music, but so far, so good. Haven't played with the Android app just yet, but the plan is to install it across the board and use it to sync all my music and listen to it from anywhere.

You can upload music from selected folders, choose the genres (somewhat limiting) you enjoy.  Afterward, in your library it will show free music that you can stream, from your uploads to what they have available online matching your choices of genres.

Creating playlists are fairly easy.  All you do is click on the "+" next to the Playlists side tab, and it automatically creates a new playlist with today's date.  Then, all you do is drag songs from the Songs list over to the playlist you want to add it to.  To listen to the playlist, just use your mouse to select the playlist and the songs added to your playlist show up.

You can create "Instant Mixes" too.  Instant mixes are genre-based mixes, and all you need to do is select a song in the main songs list, then hit the "+" next to the Instant Mixes side tab, and voila, you have a mix of songs from that genre, based on the song you had selected.

It's a nifty way of discovering music, much like Slacker, Last.FM, Pandora and others, but with more controls.

After installing, you upload music from selected folders.

You use your browser to navigate Google Music.

Selecting and dragging songs to a playlist is easy enough.
