Google Maps adds saved maps for navigation, in Android.

Google has updated Maps for Android to 5.7, and now includes the ability to download maps for offline usage, which is a very nice feature, especially when traveling abroad or in the boonies somewhere.  Also, they've added the ability to see what scale you're zoomed in at, and you can measure (as in Google Earth) distances in Maps.

A very nice update...now if only those Toshiba Thrive tablets were in stores -- which by the way, Newegg is listing them as available right now for shipping.  However, it looks like they've sold out of the 32GB versions.
