Political power and your vote.

I am under no illusion that, ever since the Supreme Court gave the green light to unlimited funding of secretive SuperPACs, elections in America are determined by We the People.  In fact, they are controlled by Ye the Well-Monied.

Grover Norquist directly told us, "We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go.... We just need a president to sign this stuff....Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen.... His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared."

If you're under any illusion that Mitt Romney will remain a centrist once elected, you're a fool.  Maybe he is a centrist at heart, but he does not have the power.  He is beholden to the true political power in America: the special interest lobbyists with SuperPACs.

President Obama, once the favored of Wall Street, became the anti-Christ in their eyes, once he talked about applying greater scrutiny of Wall Street; now all that money has gone to Mitt Romney's campaign -- a man they fully entrust to do their bidding.

Citizens United was a monumental error, and if you don't think so, watch Frontline's Big Sky, Big Money.

Frontline covers how an outside group altered the outcome of a Republican primary in Montana, by flooding the state with false advertising just days before voting.  Now, that incident was before the Citizens United ruling, but it was funded by anonymous people, subject to caps (that is, if you gave more than the cap, you'd have your name disclosed to the public); the CU ruling made it possible for these same people to fund these false advertisements with unlimited monies while remaining anonymous.

Well you can imagine what happens when you have unlimited secret funding of SuperPACs: the rise of the Plutocracy.

Welcome to the story of our American Plutocracy.
