PAC-12 Week 10 predictions.

Last week: 3 - 3
Overall: 42 - 23

Last week was a tough, tough week, eh? Upsets left and right.  Everyone thinks that Oregon whipping Colorado means that they'll equally beat USC; makes no sense, because they beat Colorado at home -- a tough environment for everyone, let alone a PAC-12 bottom dweller.

USC has a lot to play for; people who think the Trojans are out of the BCS NC have not bothered to look at the remaining Trojan schedule in comparison to others above them.  If they win out and win the PAC-12 Championship, they will have made an impressive run against highly ranked opponents.  Meanwhile, many of the teams above them will be playing weak teams that won't boost their computer rankings.

If you remember, last week I said, " the upsets might be USC losing to Arizona and Oregon State losing to Washington".  Turns out that nagging feeling was correct.  :P  I hate that.

This week, if Oregon beats USC, no one will be surprised, but watching USC play against Arizona, I can definitely tell you that USC's offense is lethal, so long as they don't incur penalties (laughter ensues).  Meanwhile I have no idea how the defense will perform; last year they did well against the spread option, using their current, fast linebacker crew, but with a revamped d-line, they seemed to let the outside edge open up and the dive play wide open half the time.

If Cal does not win this week, they will have zero hopes of making it to a bowl game; frankly, the odds are stacked against them anyway, because after Washington, Oregon and Oregon State come calling.  They are so erratic this year, it's impossible to tell if they're actually going to show up for their home games or not.

Arizona so far, hasn't won a road game...of course the only road games they've had were against Oregon and Stanford.  Meanwhile UCLA is 3 - 1 at home, with its only loss against Oregon State.  No upsets here, I think.  No upsets (from my predictions) this week.  :D
