So, I'd been on a binge recently on can biscuits, when I recalled a childhood memory of making cheap, quick Malasadas from these. Not as good, but when you've got a craving and nowhere to get them from nor the patience to make them from scratch, it'll do.
Four steps:
- Cut the uncooked biscuits into smaller pieces; you can twist them if you cut them into strips.
- Deep fry them in vegetable oil or lard until light brown.
- Place on paper towels for a few seconds to get rid of excess oil.
- Put into paper bag filled with a few tablespoons of sugar and shake vigorously.
